Animation Solution (plugin)
- New feature: You can now use single row spritesheet for events, similar to other modern game engines
- New feature: Events and Followers now support 8 directional spritesheet
- New feature: You can now adjust frame playing speed of Idle, Walk and Run for game player
- New feature: Animations via Show Animation plugin command can now be looped forever
- New feature: Animations via Show Animation plugin command now support playing from a certain range
- New feature: Followers (default RPG Maker ones) to use Run spritesheet if player is dashing/running
- Fixed holding Shift without moving increase frame speed of player
- Fixed fade out effect in Show Animation and Animation Effect plugin command not working
RPG Maker Action Combat (Sample Project)
- New spell: Fireball Spray -- Spray multiple fireballs that potentially can knockback enemies
- New sword: Sword of Ice -- A sword that can freeze enemies
- New area: Ghost Cave
- Spell adjustment: Snowflake can now be controlled via mouse cursor/game pad right stick
- All enemy events now use a newer method to link to their counterpart in database
- Simplified State infliction system significantly
- Simplified Gun system significantly

RPG Maker Action Combat
Combat & Event Enhancements
- Minion HP Notetag:
<HP: minion, actorId>
lets each event have its own independent stats, even if they share the same actor setup. - Enemy Setup by Name: Automatically link enemy events to database entries by matching their names.
- Knockback Command: Easily push back events with full 360° and pixel movement support.
- Easy Gun System: Simplified setup for guns, bows, or any item-based weapons.
- Swing Weapon Z-Index: Adjust weapon layering for better visual control.
- Spawn Event Rotation: Supports
mouse or gamepad + X
for directional spawning. - Attach Spawned Event: Spawned events can now be linked to a target as child/parent.
States & Effects
- Easy State Infliction: Weapons and skills can now inflict states using an upgraded RPG Maker system.
- Pop Text Enhancements: New animation preset, Color gradient (2 colors), Text now rendered as sharp (nearest), Option to stick text to map position, Adjustable outline width, Show gold value of defeated enemies.
Rewards & Drops
- Easy Drop Items: Automatically drop items assigned in the database when an enemy is defeated. Supports manual drops via template maps.
- Gold on Defeat: Option to gain gold when defeating enemies.
Logic & Scripting
- Passable Command: New command to make events passable (similar to
<pass>
notetag). - Attacker Notetag:
<attacker: x>
assigns a source for formulas like a.atk-
b.def. - Damage Notetag:
<dmg: enemy name>
returns ATK value (after trait calculation) from database. - Event Count Script:
mapCount(target)
returns the number of events on the map. - checkCollide Update: Conditional branch now supports checking against event names.
Fixes
- Fixed Dot Move optimization bug causing events to bypass impassable tiles with >30 events.
- Fixed child-parent issue preventing events from being player’s child.
- Fixed uneven areas in
turnToward('mouse or gamepad')
. - Fixed child event staying in place after parent is removed.
- Fixed HP bar misplacement with 8-direction spritesheets.
- Fixed sprite rotation sorting in
Event Effects > Spin
. - Fixed
+damage
not applying<dmg: x>
value correctly. - Fixed 0 damage (MISS) from player causing other events to also deal 0 damage.
Adjustments
- Merged Destroy Spawned Event and Destroy Regular Event into one:
