Ver 1.3.5 - New features and Major Overhaul


Another giant update for RPG Maker Action Combat is here, please see the trailer and read the changelog below to see what's been adjusted and implemented! This update will be much more friendly to newcomers of RPG Maker engine itself.

New Features

  • Run Animation: When dashing (holding Shift), player will have running animation (Animation Solution plugin)
  • Create Dynamic Event: Assign common (green text) to dynamic event
  • Spawn Event: Spawn event grid-based
  • Spawn Event: Spawn event in front of target "this" or "player"
  • Block Wall & Building: An option to target either player, events or both to be affected by blocking
  • New command: Event effects. Make events/player spin, shake, bounce, etc
  • New command: Destroy Regular Event. Destroy traditional event (not spawned from template map ones)
  • Dot Move Collision debug: Press 0 to show collision zone
  • Sprite offset: Add this notetag to an event will shift its graphical offset <sprite offset: x, y>
  • Hue event: Add this notetag to an event will hue the sprite: <hue: from -180 to 180>
  • HUD bars: Fade the bar when player is near/behind the bars
  • HUD bars: Fade when message is shown
  • Tons of new features and adjustments to plugins Keyboard Gamepad, Animation Solution and Hotbar. Their changelog can be found in their itch. io pages

Adjustments

  • Demo adjustment: Changed all enemies to use <hp: enemy name> notetag
  • Demo adjustment: Completely reworked Player Magic Casting common event to be friendlier to RPG Maker newcomers
  • Demo adjustment: All skills now call certain common event ID when being used (either via Hotbar or others)
  • Change format of <dmg: skill, skill name> to <dmg: skill name>
  • Damage calculation for <dmg: skill name> to <hp: event name> will take account of database stuff like formula, critical, variance, miss, element resistance, weakness, etc
  • Conditional Branch localVariable has been reworked to make it more easy to use
  • jumpTo now won't jump to wall and building tiles (A3, A4)
  • "Dash" script for movement route will now work for both Keyboard and Gamepad simultaneously
  • Create Dynamic Event now support non-comma for notetag
  • Removed plugin command Global Damage Formula to simplify the plugin
  • If damage dealt is 0 it'll show "Miss"
  • Fixed an issue events when death don't give EXP
  • Fixed an issue with the demo that sometimes you won't be able to do anything
  • Other bug fixes

Its s sad that there is no rpg maker mv version.. but I absolutely love your plugin!
