This plugin for RPG Maker MV/MZ allows you to translate everything you see from your game using an auto-generated CSV file, and you don't need to touch your in-editor text. All you need to do is translate, everything else will be handled by the plugin.

This plugin is best if you want to

  • Translate your whole game without replacing your in-editor text with keywords.
  • You don't want to create a translation file and type in all dialogues manually.
  • You don't want to translate using a JSON file.
  • You want everything to be automatically generated so you can focus only on translating the translation file.

Features

  • Add languages, custom font, and size for each language.
  • Auto-generate a translation file with all the languages you added.
  • Auto extract all game messages, choices, common events, variables, show pictures command and database.
  • Everything is categorized and organized.
  • Any adjustments made in the editor will be updated in the translation file.
  • Auto update and backup your translation file.
  • The translation file is saved as game_messages.csv, very easy to use.
  • Manually add anything you want to translate to the same CSV file.
  • Can translate text from plugins.
  • NON-DESTRUCTIVE. Say no to replacing your in-editor text with keywords.
  • Cache your translation. Help improve performance (not necessary).
  • An awesome dev to support you 24/7.

How to use

Turn on the Extract Text parameter > Start the game > Follow instructions to generate the translation file > Open the newly generated translation file (game_messages.csv) and begin translating.

More tutorials are to be found inside the plugin and the demo.

This seems great and I will definitely use it in the future!

I was just wondering how do you set up the languages in-game. Just by a simple variable/plugin parameters?

Thank you :)

Can this plugin detect and translate text generated by other plugins? That is a current issue with the localization plugin I'm using now.

It can. If you fail to do it, feel free to add my Discord and I'll do it for you: Sang Hendrix #3505

It has a lot of hidden features special thanks to an amazing client I worked with so I haven't had the chance to document those features yet. 😬

Highly recommended for anyone looking for an efficient and easy-to-manage localization tool!

Wow this is impressive :'O Will definitely use it when I reach that phase of my project :D

Thanks!

I noticed your excellent efforts in localization, especially the emphasis on "non-destructiveness", but I have some suggestions for improvement.

1. Translator++ is currently the best RPG Maker localization tool, and I think that creating a workflow should not ignore Translator++.

2. There is currently an advanced way to deal with "destructiveness", which is to directly add corresponding identifiers to each original text in the project. For example, before: Hello, after: {Hello}

Then use the automated processing script to process only the text that has not yet been added with the before and after identifiers

I don't use Translator++ so can't really tell. It's up to the user to choose what's best, I guess. For the destructiveness, the point of this plugin is so the user doesn't need to add or replace anything to the text from editor, so adding {} is already destructive.
